I'm Gina Joy - A vintage loving, cat chasing, joy spreading Momma on a mission to make the world feel a little lighter and a LOT more fabulous!

BIG NEWS FROM THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Before home renovations, before gardening adventures, before marriage and motherhood, before the laundry piles and the sphynx cats supervising every project, I was the kid carrying around notebooks and filling them with ideas. Writing has always been home.

I'm thrilled to announce that my debut novel, Aunt Rose & the Haunting of Sterling Manor, has found a publishing home with Pentacle Publishing Group. A female-owned, female-run publishing house dedicated to championing women's voices and stories.

This story is a love letter to everything I've adored throughout my life: classic mysteries, old Hollywood glamour, historic mansions, eccentric characters, ghost stories, friendship, humor, and the belief that even in life's darkest moments, warmth and belonging matter.

I'll be sharing sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes stories, updates, and release information right here.

I cannot wait to introduce you to Aunt Rose, Sterling Manor, and all the secrets waiting behind castle doors.

Why I’m Here

Because life is wild, messy, beautiful, and sometimes brutal — and we need each other to get through it. I’ve been through my share of storms: the loss of my singing voice, my husband’s Army deployment to Iraq, two miscarriages, the loss of my brother to brain cancer, and years of finding my footing in a world that doesn’t slow down. But I’m still dancing. Still laughing. Still loving. And now, I want to help you do the same.

I believe in joy as a survival skill. Not the fake kind — the real, “I made it through and now I’m going to sparkle anyway” kind.

-The Backstory-

I'm a 45-year-old mom of a 5-year-old miracle, married nearly 20 years to a man I love.

I’m a singer, dancer, crafter, and garden newbie with a colorful home that’s still under construction (literally and figuratively).

I'm a first-generation Italian-American (shoutout to Palermo, Sicily!). I was raised in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural home full of big food, big feelings, and big family energy.

Our two Sphynx cats, Lilah and Olive, are our mischievous (and hairless) babies.
